As a child growing up in Indiana I dreamed of being an artist but never received the training or opportunity to develop artistic skills. Before the end of my banking career in California, I went back to college and took every art class I could find along with private lessons.
After my husband and I retired, we moved to a lovely home on the Umpqua River in Scottsburg, OR where I find inspiration in early morning sunshine and moody winter skies.
I am a watercolor artist and I love to paint children, animals, landscapes and flowers. I have sold many of my portraits to private parties and I've won competitions in art clubs and county fairs. I continue to take classes and display my art locally. I am a member of the Dunes Art Club in Reedsport and the Watercolor Society of Oregon.
